As a Yoga Alliance Registered Yoga School (RYS), Flourish Yoga’s Yin Yoga Teacher Training is eligible for continuing education hours (50 hours) for current yoga instructors. This training is also designed for the yoga practitioner simply looking to deepen their understanding of yin yoga and expand their own personal yoga journey. This training will empower and prepare individuals to create and teach safe and effective yin classes and to share the immense benefits of yin yoga to students. Our yin yoga training program covers an introduction to yin, teaching yin yoga, and teaching yin yoga at a deeper level.

Led by Eva Khan, E-RYT 500. We are offering an immersive program: A 50-hour teaching certificate for those seeking to study and teach yin yoga.

The ethos of our yin yoga training is to go on an exploration to investigate the relationship of our body, mind, and soul. In line with zen traditions, we emphasize the value of breath, mindfulness, and intuition – rather than rigorous ritual and perfect alignments. Everybody is different, so in yin, how a pose feels precedes how it is supposed to look. We see teaching yoga as an art fueled by authenticity and creativity. A student’s personal practice and the understanding that subsequently flows spark the inner teacher – thus sharing with others will come naturally and spontaneously. We acknowledge that every student and teacher has his or her own unique presence, energy, and teaching style. We strive to provide an ideal learning environment for all.

Meeting over three weekends in August, September, and October, the trainings include:

  •  training manual and visual asana guide
  • further study reading list and suggestions
  • yoga lectures
  • live teaching practice time
  • guided yoga and meditation practices
  • flows and class plans for you to use as a guide when teaching

  • 10 additional hours of independent work for the teaching certificate, some to be completed before the program, some during, and some after
